Women of Rollins quilt winner has deep Rollins roots

The “Vintage Floral” raffle quilt created by the Women of Rollins Club was recently won by the Jim Hollensteiner family, a pioneer family who summer in the Rollins area. Jim’s forefathers arrived in the Flathead Valley in the 1880s.
The quilt was received by him with the comment, “This is for Wanda,” his wife who died May 31.
Jim and Wanda Hollensteiner have been longtime supporters of many community causes, including Central School Museum, Flathead Lakers, Kalispell Regional Medical Center, Flathead Valley Community College and Dayton Church.
Each year Jim Hollensteiner purchases a large number of quilt raffle tickets to support the club’s charities such as the Emma Sager Scholarship.
