Idaho man dies in motorcycle crash near Kalispell

An Idaho man died in a motorcycle crash Wednesday afternoon just west of Kalispell.

According to Montana Highway Patrol, a 33-year-old Idaho Falls man was riding a blue 2016 Harley Davidson FLTRXS east on Batavia Lane when he went off of the right side of the road while negotiating a curve.

The motorcycle then hit a fence and began to roll. The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike and died at the scene.

Road conditions were dry. Speed, alcohol or drugs were not factors in the crash, according to Trooper Richard Mehring.

The fatality was the 61st on Montana roads in 2021.
