It’s showtime once again for the Bigfork Summer Playhouse

| April 15, 2021 12:00 AM

The Bigfork Summer Playhouse is planning to celebrate its 62nd season of live professional theater in 2021.

The traditional opening date remains June 5, but there will be additional cleaning, sanitizing, social distancing and personal safety precautions.

The stellar season line up includes several new shows and some favorites: “Jersey Boys,” “9 to 5,” “Bonnie & Clyde,” “Lucky Stiff” and “The HITS of the ’50s, ’60s & ’70s.”

The playhouse also plans to bring back the popular Benefit Revue (scholarship show and gala) this summer.

Patrons can look forward to great entertainment, new faces in the company, shows they’ve never seen and a beautiful evening in Bigfork.

The 2021 summer season may look a bit different while the organization continues to encourage social distancing to protect actors, staff and guests. Seating is alternating with an open row and a checkboard-style behind. Masks are no longer required, but it is suggested you wear a mask when you enter the building until you are seated, if not for you, for the comfort of all the other patrons.

In addition to extra cleaning and sanitizing efforts, there will be hand sanitizer located in various stations at the theater, masks will be provided to those who want one, and efforts will be made to keep the congestion down in the lobby and as you enter or exit the theater. If there are any changes to local or state guidelines, those may be implemented without notice.

The complete season schedule, ticket prices and early season packages can be found online at bigforksummerplayhouse.com. Tickets may also be purchased online, or by calling 406-837-4886 beginning May 24. The box office is open noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
