Orien, Pirates make short work of Ronan

RONAN — Lexie Orien hit two homers and drove in five runs and Polson beat Ronan 14-2 in a Northwest A softball matchup shortened to five innings by the mercy rule.

Katelyn Druyvestein threw all five innings for the Piraters, scattering four hits. One was a solo homer by Ronan’s Haylie Webster. Druyvestein struck out six.

Kobbey Smith had two hits, including a double, and scored three times for Polson. Lorien was 3-for-3 and scored four runs.
