Chipotle Mexican Grill could be on its way to Kalispell.

The Kalispell Architectural Review Committee is considering a set of architectural renderings for the fast-casual chain to build a new restaurant in the North Kalispell commercial corridor.

The plans identify 2261 U.S. 93 North, in the Spring Prairie subdivision near the new Old Navy store, as the proposed site for the new construction.

The review committee determines building guidelines for new construction and renovations within the Kalispell city limits. The group’s next meeting will take place the morning of April 27.

There’s no official word yet on the potential Kalispell location from the Chipotle public relations team.

“At this point, we do not have a planned location in Kalispell,” Tyler Benson with Chipotle communications wrote in a recent email. “But stay patient! We are always looking to bring our food with integrity to great new communities!”

Founded in Denver in 1993, Chipotle currently boasts over 2,000 locations in four countries. One of the pioneers of “fast-casual” dining, Chipotle is best-known for its burritos and other Mexican-inspired dishes.

Montana has Chipotle restaurants in Missoula, Billings and Bozeman.
