Coram man dies in U.S. 2 accident

A Coram man died in a traffic crash Tuesday afternoon on U.S. 2.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, a 59-year-old man was driving a Toyota RAV 4 west on U.S. 2 when it drifted off the right side of the road, struck several signs and driveway approaches before striking a tree.

The man, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death was Montana’s 68th fatality on its roadways in 2021.
