Beverley Jean Wright, 84
On Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021, Beverley Jean (Frazer) Wright, the most loving mother, grandmother and auntie, passed away in her home peacefully and surrounded by family.
Grandma/Auntie Bev was born Sept. 5, 1936, in Onigum, Minnesota, to her parents Amelia (Carpenter) and Harvey Louis Frazer. She grew up in Cass Lake, Minnesota, the very middle child of 17 kids: Eugene, Myrtle, Denice, Harvey, Lois, Norma, Shirley, Jimmy, Gene, Chuck, Joyce, Earl, Carl, Sandy, Bobby and Mike. She married Ralph Edwin Hanson and together they had three boys, Curtis, Ronald and Marvin. Shortly after, they moved out here to Columbia Falls where she was an active member of St. Richard Catholic Church for many years. She was also heavily involved in the bowling community here at Glacier Lanes, always putting together parties and events, contributing her culinary expertise as often as she possibly could. She owned and ran Hanson’s Café for about 15 years here on Nucleus while her boys were in high school. She had three of her own, but as many people know, she had many more “kids” she claimed as her own, including Bob Boyd and Bill Hedge.
She loved gardening, photography, and putting together movies. She was also a proud member of the Minnesota Chippewa tribe of White Earth. Her big family was the most important thing to her and she cherished each and every one of her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands Ralph E. Hanson and Virgil O. Wright, and her two boys Ronald Scott Hans and Curtis Gerard Hanson.
She is survived by her son Marvin and Marilyn Hanson, daughter-in-law Debra Hanson, her grandchildren Cayla Sue, Jenna-Rose, Justin Hanson, Ashley and Levi Halle, as well as several grandchildren.
As she would always say “I don’t like to say goodbye, so I say, ‘see ya later.’” We will see ya later, Grandma. Love you always.
Funeral services will be held at the Columbia Mortuary Aug. 8 at 2 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to St. Richard Catholic Church.
Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls is caring for Beverley’s family.
