Law roundup: Fraud accusation actually fake
A woman told the Kalispell Police Department she withdrew $9,000 from her bank account when she received a scam call from Texas. She said the caller told her “she was involved in a sex ring” so she withdrew all of her money to get out of the situation. It turned out she hadn’t actually withdrawn the money and no fraud was committed.
A transient man in a Kalispell park was reported to the KPD for moving rocks. After he was confronted about his behavior, the suspect promised to put the rocks back.
A woman said she accidentally bumped a button with her chin and called 911.

In another case of a trapped animal, a man called the police because a bat got stuck in his house.
A supervisor said he fired someone and the ex-employee stole a $350 tool on his way out. However, the tool was located in a vehicle on the site shortly after the initial call to police. The supervisor said there was actually no theft.
