Robert Warren Ritter Sr., 80

Robert Warren Ritter Sr., 80, passed away July 23, 2021, in Kalispell due to cardiac arrest.

He was born July 19, 1941, in Weatherly, Pennsylvania.

Bob moved to Phoenix from Vermont in the early ‘70s. He started an automotive repair shop, which he ran for many years.

He met and married his wife, Diana, in Phoenix. They were married Sept. 29, 1984. He moved the family to Flagstaff, Arizona, where he bought and ran a small convenience store and got into the excavating business. In 1992 they made the move to Bigfork after many, many trips to move all his stuff. He was a bit of a collector of anything with an engine. He continued his excavating business in Bigfork. In 2004 he purchased the Woods Bay Gravel Pit where he still ran a loader. Bob had a real passion for his work and his customers. He was a kind and wonderful father and husband, loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Lillian Ritter, and a sister, Joyce.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Ritter, of Kalispell; his children, Robert Ritter Jr. of Phoenix, Susan Scott of Scottsdale, Arizona, Brian Ritter of Gilbert, Arizona, Chris Ritter of Chandler, Arizona, Steve Ritter of Bigfork, and Scott Ritter of Bigfork; his sisters, Becky Dooley of Naples, Florida, and Cindi Ritter of Anaheim Hills, California; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Aug. 15 at Family Life Christian Church on Foy's Lake Road. A reception will follow at the church.
