Flathead Land Trust cancels fundraiser

The Flathead Land Trust has canceled its annual fundraiser scheduled for Thursday.

Executive Director Paul Travis said the group decided to cancel the Land Affair event due to concerns about the recent rise of Covid-19 infections in the Flathead Valley.

Ticket holders may receive full refunds or designate the ticket purchase as a tax-deductible donation to Flathead Land Trust.

Travis said all Land Affair ticket holders and donors will be invited to a "Friends of Flathead Land Trust" celebration sometime in the future.

Travis also said those who had planned to donate in the Live Drive paddle raise can instead donate via the Great Fish Community Challenge. Donations made now will receive a percentage match from Whitefish Community Foundation.
