Best fair food winners announced

Maria's Green Roaster, a family-owned business, has won first place for best food at the Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo. Maria's roasted parmesan corn prevailed above 15 other contenders to take the blue ribbon.
Chef Dan Moe and three students from Flathead Valley Community College's Culinary Institute of Montana served as the judges.
The Scandinavian Baking Co.'s "Vikings in a Boat" dish took second place, while Flathead Marines' barbecue chicken dinner took third.
The fair will run through Sunday at the Flathead County Fairgrounds in Kalispell.
