Shirley Ann Dixon Weaver, 93

| August 20, 2021 12:00 AM

“I was born Shirley Ann Dixon, April 2, 1928, in Kalispell. I’ve lived here my entire life except for a few years after I was married. I went to Elrod School, which my daughter and grandson also attended. In my latter years I walked every morning to Elrod.

“I married Walt Weaver on Sept. 25, 1948. We had one daughter, LuAnn. I am survived by LuAnn and husband Doug Servo, granddaughter Stacey and husband Amador, and grandsons Tyrell, and Beau and wife Beth.

“I was preceded in death by my parents, six brothers and sisters, and husband Walt. Several nieces and nephews survive me.

“I was very active in school affairs such as PTA, room mother and a Girl Scout leader for several years.

“My church was a big part of my life, serving in many offices and as Deaconess for a long time. I loved to teach Sunday School and the children were my friends for life.

“My most precious love was for my husband, daughter and grandchildren. Each one was so special and I was so lucky to have them. I spent all of my life here and loved every minute. I like animals and we had many dogs and cats. My favorite place was our cabin on Middle Thompson Lake. Thank you for a good life!”

Shirley went to be with her Lord on Aug. 18, 2021. Services for her will be Aug. 21 at 2 p.m. at Central Christian Church.

Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is tending to the family.
