Country legend Marty Stuart performs in concert in Wolf Creek

Country music star Marty Stuart will give a live, acoustic concert Sunday, Aug. 22, at the 7r Guest ranch, 2290 Little Wolf Creek in Wolf Creek.

Fundraiser tickets are available for a $100 donation, with all proceeds going to the Marty Stuart Congress of Country Music in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Tickets for the general public can be purchased by calling 406- 461-9782.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase, as well as a cash bar.

Doors open at 3 p.m. and the concert begins at 5 p.m.

Bards of the Big Sky opens in Helena

Bards of the Big Sky is a unique and entertaining blend of original plays written by Montana playwrights, Jay Kettering, Pamela Jamruszka Mencher, and Cynthia Webb, and coupled with lively and original music by Bozeman musician, John Hosking.

Supported by SHARP Grant funding from Humanities Montana and sponsor, Slate Architecture, the Montana Playwrights Network is opening the Helena Avenue Theatre at 1319 Helena Avenue in Helena with performances of Bards of the Big Sky. Performances are Sept. 16, 17, 18, 23, 24 and 25 at 7:30 p.m., with two matinees Sept. 19 and 26 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 each and may be purchased online at

The Helena Avenue Theatre (HAT) is the home for the Montana Playwrights Network (MPN), a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization incorporated in Montana. HAT is available to individuals, businesses and organizations to rent to present performances, recitals and other special events.

MPN was formed to provide a forum focusing on story as expressed through a variety of formats including but not limited to playwriting, storytelling, poetry, history, non-fiction, essays and memoirs, with the goal to connect with writers, storytellers, teachers, performers, theatre

companies, libraries, book clubs, and businesses that are interested in storytelling as a way to build communities across Montana.
