Kenneth Leroy Bidwell, 82

| August 26, 2021 12:00 AM

Kenneth Leroy Bidwell, 82, of Kalispell, succumbed to his long, hard battle with cancer on Aug. 13, 2021, at the Fort Harrison VA Hospital in Helena under their compassionate care. He entered into peace from his suffering with a positive, loving attitude.

Kenny grew up and graduated from Dawson County High School in Glendive. He was the second youngest of seven siblings and is currently survived by his youngest sister, Janet Palen. Ken spent his early adulthood working for the Forest Service, residing in Seeley Lake and Thompson Falls. He moved on to working for the Montana Department of

Transportation (MDT) out of the Glendive district. A later transfer to the Kalispell district brought him back to Western Montana to be near his children.

He remained in Kalispell after his retirement enjoying times with his family, especially the Thanksgiving holiday. Kenny also enjoyed spending time with his friends at the local VFW post as part of the "riff raff" group. He valued the simplicity of life and the personal values of people over any monetary values.

Other survivors include his son, Royce, along with his significant other, Abby; and his son, Raymond, along with his fiancé, Tanya, and their two children, Bryce and Kendra. He is also survived by Rhonda Bolton, daughter, along with her husband, Mark. Grandchildren include Kendra Reed and great-granddaughter, Kinsley, along with grandsons, Zachary and Zedekiah Snethen.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m. at Glacier Park VFW post no. 2252; 330 1st Avenue West, Kalispell, MT 59901.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local Veterans Home donation box located at the VFW post in Kalispell.
