Anyone who knew Scott knew he was a storyteller. Scott had wonderful stories about his wonderful life. Scott was also a prankster and would do anything to get a laugh out of you. Scott was a kind, selfless, heartfelt man, who would give you the wood from his house and the shirt from his back to help out.

He was happy from putting over a million miles driving semi-trucks to spending weeks camping on horseback in the Bob Marshall, smiling the whole time.

Scott was a jack-of-all-trades, ending his working day at Montana CAD until his retirement.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Lois, and his granddaughter, Racheal Hedges.

Scott is survived by his wife Kathe, sisters Jill (Steve) and Jayne, brother Skip of Indiana, son Brian Hedges (Heather), daughters Angela Griswold and Amanda Buckley; granddaughters Abby Hedges (Keegan), Gabrielle Griswold, Savanah and Olivia Hedges, and Autumn Buckley; great-granddaughter Bella, and great-grandson Hendrix, and friends Richard and Sandi Kolden.

There will be a burial at 1 p.m. Sept. 11 at Swan River Cemetery on Swan River Road in Bigfork. A celebration of life will follow at Dwight and Ann Lamn’s home and business Montana CAD, 6955 Montana Highway 35, Bigfork, MT 59911. Please bring your own chair.

Instead of flowers, Scott would love for you to tell someone how much you care. Smile up at the mountains and remember the good times.
