Betty Ann Nordtome Glazier, 99

| December 5, 2021 12:00 AM

Betty Ann Nordtome Glazier, 99, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 1, 2021.

She was born Aug. 28, 1922, in Kalispell to Andy and Gurina Nordtome. She attended West Side School, Central School and graduated from Flathead County High School in 1942. She attended Kalispell Business College and Multnomah School of the Bible in Portland. She married Claude Glazier on April 19, 1954.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a baby sister and two brothers, Kenneth and Owen “Bud” Nordtome.

She is survived by one son, Robbin Glazier; two daughters, Marilyn and Curtis Ethington, and Terri and Steve Street; six grandchildren, Ian and Erin Ethington, Andee Ethington, Lindsey and Derik Kadrmas, Aaron Street, Ryan Street and Shelbi and Conner Wagner; five great-grandchildren, Basil, Liesel, and Truitt Ethington and Emerson and Fletcher Orton; nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers and sisters in the Lord.

She worked at the Glacier Dairy, Walt Woods Insurance, County Superintendent of Schools and Clerk of School District 5. She taught Sunday school at West Side Methodist Church, where she attended, and later at Central Bible Church. She was a member of Valley Community Church of God for over 20 years.

Betty will always be remembered for her generous selflessness and genuine concern for others. She spent her life dedicated to the care and nurturing of the people she loved; she spent hours every day lifting her family and friends up in prayer. Betty provided much comfort to her family, and they often turned to her when they needed support and prayer in their lives. Betty had a servant’s heart that shared the love of the Lord by generously caring for those around her. She was able to remain comfortably in her home due to the extraordinary efforts of her three children who cared for her tirelessly and with much grace in her final years. Betty’s life was built on hard work and humility — a legacy that lives on through her family.

A private graveside service will be held.

Memorials may be made to the Valley Community Church of God or Central Bible’s Awana Club.
