Brandon Lee Meier, 34

| December 8, 2021 12:00 AM

Brandon Lee Meier, 34, passed away on Nov. 29, 2021.

Was born on a cold November Day (Nov. 2nd) 1987, at Kalispell Regional. He was the second son of Dale and Londa Meier and his brother Brent wasn’t thrilled. He grew up in a great neighborhood out east of town. He attended Fair Mont Egan School from kindergarten through eighth grade where he played soccer and had many friends. He went on to Flathead High School, continued playing soccer on the select soccer team traveling the state playing. He also played football for the Braves and wrestled.

Brandon graduated in 2006 and enlisted in the United States Army, where he was stationed out of Fort Benning, Georgia, then on to Irac after basic training. He loved the Army and all the people he met while in. He would have made it a life thing but, while he was home on leave, he lost most of his team in a roadside bomb. That made him change his mind. He had a lot of awards and commendations from the Army but talked very little about it. Upon returning home he wandered, worked odd jobs and felt kind of useless. He was just thinking of going to culinary school when he passed.

Brandon lost his brother Brent in 2000 and he and Tawnni, his sister, became very close. He was a super “unc” to her two kids, Hadley and Daxon. They had many great adventures together in their short little lives; piggy back rides were their favorite.

Brandon was an avid hunter and fisherman and was disappointed this year at not getting anything while out hunting. Brandon had a big heart and was always willing to help a friend in need. He will be missed by many.

Brandon leaves behind his mom Londa Meier of Kalispell, sister and husband Tawnni and Zac Clouse, and niece and nephew Hadley and Daxon Clouse, of Lakeside; his maternal grandma Brenda Ocheltree of Great Falls, uncles James (Fran) Hodgson of Chinook, Aaron Ocheltree of Spokane, Allen (Danyell) Ocheltree of Great Falls, and aunts Carrie Meier of Arizona and Renee Erdman of Florida and there kids.

Brandon was preceded in death by grandparents Bob and Marian Meier and Jim Ocheltree, brother Brent Meier, and dad Dale Meier.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Dec. 11, at 1 p.m. at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. No visitation will be held. Lunch will follow at the Kalispell Elks.
