Glacier Symphony celebrates the season with ‘Holiday Classics’
The Glacier Symphony continues its holiday celebrations with its Holiday Classics concert.
This concert under the direction of Maestro John Zoltek is filled with holiday music favorites for the whole family. Performances will be held Saturday, Dec. 18, and Sunday, Dec. 19, in the Flathead High School Performance Hall.
The program opens with the spotlight on Glacier Symphony’s brass section performing festive music by Gabrieli, new arrangements of “Joy to the World,” “A Coventry Carol” and two delightful and dramatic Christmas tales “The Toymaker” and “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” with narrator Suzie Wambeke, local actress and violinist in the Glacier Symphony.
The complete orchestra will then take the stage to offer a selection of popular holiday classics, including the “Nutcracker Suite” by Tchaikovsky, “Sleigh Ride” and more.
Bring the family and share the joys of the season with the Glacier Symphony. Both the young and the young-at-heart will enjoy the festivities, Patrons may even be encouraged to sing along.
