Ellen Wilson, 69, and Larry Wilson, 69

Ellen and Larry Wilson passed away on Nov. 27, 2021, in Helena due to complications from Covid.

Ellen was born Nov. 6, 1952, in Kalispell.

Larry was born Dec. 13, 1951, in Spickard, Missouri.

Larry and Ellen were married on Sept. 16, 2006, and lived in the Helena area for the past 16 years. They were active in their church, Bridge Assembly, and their community.

Ellen was very creative and enjoyed various types of crafts. She enjoyed farmers markets and vendor shows. She was an avid reader and enjoyed TV movies. Her connection to her church and her family had been an important part of her life.

Larry was kind and had a large, generous heart. He had worked as a cowboy, a wildlands firefighter, and was a member of Search & Rescue. He was a hunting guide, and loved fishing and hunting and camping. He had worked for the Quarter Circle 4 (Macquire) Ranch in White Sulphur Springs for many years.

Larry served on the Montana Historic Preservation Society where he participated in Living History exhibits of the Native American community called the Prickly Pear Oyate. He loved his Native culture and participated at many powwows.

They will be missed by Ellen's daughter, Cheri and Rob Walsh, of Helena; grandchildren, Daniel and Clover Walsh also of Helena; her son, Aaron Gibson, of Kalispell; Ellen's siblings, Twila Buller of Canton, Ohio, Brenda Buller of Goshen, Indiana, Frieda and Ken Kauffman of Kalispell, Sarah and Phil Gunderson of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Lena Dresbach of Forsyth, Montana, and Lee and Lisa Buller of Kalispell; many nieces and nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by both parents, Jeff and Priscilla Buller; brother, Andy; grandson, Mason Walsh; and nephew, Steven Buller.

Other survivors include Larry's son, David and Tammy Wilson, of Spickard; daughter, Shelly and Jeff Thorne, of Atchison, Kansas; five grandchildren; Larry’s siblings, Connie and Richard Hays, of Saratoga, Wyoming, Kenneth and Melissa Wilson of Smithville, Missouri; and Sherea Stephens of Spickard.
