Mary Olive Brist, 79

| December 15, 2021 12:00 AM

Mary Olive Brist, 79, was born to Stanley Gardipee and Louise Parouteau in Harlem, Montana, Jan. 9, 1942.

She passed peacefully Dec. 1, 2021, in the comforts of her home due to complications of Covid-19.

She is reuniting with her husband Leland R. Brist, sister Ramona Favel, and other beloved family members.

Mary was dedicated to her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with her work at Hampton Inn here in Kalispell. She worked there for a little over 20 years and was made Employee of the Month in every department she worked. Along with her family, she was very loved by the people she worked with and will be missed greatly. She was still employed at the Hampton Inn until her passing. Along with work, Mary loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was always up for the next adventure when hanging out with them. She was a beautifully special, strong person, and a kindred spirit, with a contagious laugh that, when evoked, would get everyone laughing with her. She will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure to meet her.

Mary is survived by her kids, Roger Brist, Dean Brist, Timothy Brist, William Jay

Brist and Mindy Brist; and all of her grandchildren, Casey, Chelsea, Cory, Patrick,

Julian, Macy-Grey, Ashtonn, Nikole, Jordan, Dillion and Logan; and so many beautiful great- and great-great-grandchildren that she loved very much.

Mary enjoyed life to the fullest. She kept everyone on their toes. She was a very

Strong, special, persevering woman and will never be forgotten.

The celebration of her life will be held at the Hampton Inn in the Spring Creek

conference room A on Thursday, Dec. 16, at 3 p.m., with a potluck style

dinner so feel free to bring something.

Flowers and donations can be given to the Brist family the day of the service.
