Patrick Edward Wakefield Heffernan, born Nov. 11, 1957, died Dec. 7, 2021.

With broken hearts we are devastated to announce the loss of a devoted husband of 40 years to Carol; a loving and unwaveringly dependable father to Heather and Holly; best friend to brother Will; brother to Jeannie; father-in-law to Danny, the son he always wanted; and the best fishing buddy to grandsons Miles and Brooks.

Patrick was a steward of the forest and friend that left an imprint on everyone he met. We, as a family, thank you for your kind words, amazing stories, and shoulders to lean on. We will celebrate this incredible man’s life in August. If you are so inclined, donations in his honor can be sent to Log Jam or Family Forestry Expo.

The family plans to publish a full obituary at a later date.
