Glacier Symphony hosts Winter Gala
The Glacier Symphony is hosting its grand Masquerade Winter Gala at 6 p.m. Jan. 15 in the Ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kalispell.
The evening’s festivities include dinner, a live and silent auction, pops, jazz and lighter classical music provided by members of the Glacier Symphony and led by Zoltek, and dancing. The attire is formal and, in keeping with the masquerade theme, masks (the festive kind) are highly encouraged, as are costumes.
“This year Glacier Symphony and Chorale is also celebrating Zoltek’s 25th anniversary as its music director and conductor.
Gifted jazz/pop singer and songwriter Halie Loren is special guest. Joining her will be her longtime collaborator and arranger, Matt Treder, on piano, for a romantic evening of song set to beautiful orchestral accompaniment.
Loren is known for her “ethereal” voice and for bringing a fresh and original perspective to time-honored musical standards in the jazz and pop genres. She has garnered national and international awards and critical acclaim for the eight albums she has released to date, which also include her own compositions.
Further information and tickets can be obtained by calling the Glacier Symphony and Chorale Office at 406-407-7000, emailing info@gscmusic.org, or by visiting the website glaciersymphony.org. Those wishing to attend are requested to reserve their tickets by Jan. 4.
