Hockaday gears up for art classes in 2022

The Hockaday Museum of Art is offering a full slate of art classes for youth in 2022:

• Homeschool classes begin Jan. 12 for ages 6 to 14. Classes will be held

Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Sign up for weekly classes individually or several at once. Cost per session is $7.

• After school classes for ages 7 to 12 take place Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:50 p.m. Cost for a monthly session of 3 to 4 classes is $30.

Jan. 11-25 — Drawing

Feb. 1-22 — Printmaking

March 1-15 — Ukrainian Egg Decorating

• Preschool Art Adventures for ages 2 to 5 take place Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Classes are ongoing, year-round with a suggested donation of $3 per child.

• An adult workshop on Stained Glass Suncatchers for ages 12 and older will be offered Saturday Jan. 22, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Instructor is Kathy Martin. Cost is $75. All materials are provided. Class is limited to six students. A second day may be added based on additional interest.

Note: Due to the current high transmission rates in the county of Covid-19 and the delta variant, as of Dec. 15 masks have been required for all participants over 5 years of age.
