Milt was born on June 21, 1926, in Chicago to Max and Anna (Gannes) Perlow. When Milt was 4 the family moved to Los Angeles.. Following graduation from Hollywood High School, in 1944, Milt served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in World War II in the Philippines, Okinawa and the army of occupation in Japan. After discharge in 1946, Milt attended USC and following graduation entered UCIrvine medical school graduating in 1956. He did his internship and residency at Los Angeles County Hospital.

Milt practiced anesthesiology for over 30 years in LA, serving as chief of staff and assisting in the certification of several community hospitals. In 1959 he met Marjorie Johnson, an LA teacher. They were married in 1960 and have three children, Daniel (Patty), David and Leslie; and five grandchildren, Christine, David, Eden, Chase and Daniel. In 1996 Milt and Marj retired to Bigfork. They both volunteered for 20 years at Kalispell Regional Medical Center, Milt serving on the volunteer board and subsequently serving on the board of the hospital foundation.

While enjoying the Flathead they also were fond of their travels to Europe, Africa, Russia and South America. Summer or winter Milt could be found watching his grandkids at Little League, swim meets, dance etc. and just being Papa. He was an avid reader, loved golf and the driving range, as well as a fine poker hand.

The family wishes to thank Lakeview Care Center staff for their amazing care of Milt; and to Rising Mountains for their care in his final days. Also many thanks to Lee Darlington for all of his assistance and kindness at this time of bereavement.
