Vandal has it in for harmless tree

A man with a knife purportedly was “vandalizing a tree” when he was seen stabbing and carving it and cutting off branches. He was moved along.

A man on a bicycle allegedly was shouting about fire and shooting people. The man told Kalispell Police Department officers he was “on a mission from God to take the guns away from the children so they can live in peace.”

A woman who refused to wear a mask was “causing a scene” by refusing to leave and arguing with two employees in a back office. Parties were counseled and “everyone was happy,” according to officers.

A man and a woman were heard yelling off and on in the unit above someone, which prompted them to call the police.

A woman allegedly thought a rock or bullet was used by her son’s bully to break a window after she heard a loud pop and the window break. She told officers she didn’t see anything come through the window and didn’t feel safe to see how badly damaged it was.

Someone thought a man walking in the middle of the road was drunk because he was stumbling and staggering.

A resident claimed their house had been broken into when someone gained entry through a locked garage door; however, nothing appeared stolen.

A woman who had been kicked out of a building reportedly decided to hang out in front, but eventually left.

Someone on Second Avenue called the Columbia Falls Police Department regarding a letter about recreational marijuana that was dropped off at his house by the property owner and he had questions. For a reason not specified, the caller wanted law enforcement to inspect his house “sooner rather than later.”
