Vehicle owner asked to counsel litterbug

| January 25, 2021 12:00 AM

A woman driving a vehicle reportedly threw a bunch of trash out the window. The Kalispell Police Department left a voicemail with the registered owner of the vehicle asking him to counsel the driver.

A screaming woman, who was swinging her arms, allegedly went into a lobby and refused to leave when asked. An employee at the front desk told officers she might be on drugs and wouldn’t give “direct answers.” The employee said they gave her a few options for homeless shelters and warming centers, but it only made her more upset.

A motel employee requested officers check on the welfare of a man who was reportedly walking, crying and screaming. He appeared to be OK by the time he walked into a grocery store.

A later call came in, possibly about the same man, for yelling at customer service employees. The man, who reportedly had a joint behind his ear, was thought to be intoxicated.

A man’s ex-girlfriend reportedly hit him multiple times and left in a blue car. The man refused medical attention and requested police tell her she could not return to the property or she would be considered trespassing.

A dog allegedly called 911 after lying on a woman’s phone.

Dispatchers had a difficult time understanding what a caller was trying to report when he talked about blood being everywhere and that he didn’t know how it got there. Officers had reportedly checked on the man after an earlier call where they found he was highly intoxicated but not any wounds or bleeding.

A store customer allegedly told an employee that a man seen going in and out of the store and hanging around a truck in the parking lot might be looking in vehicles.

Someone claimed there was an ongoing issue of people coming to their residence and stalking their son after a man left the property.

A resident told officers he was the registered owner of a vehicle taken while his daughter was in Kalispell.

A man alleged that he and his girlfriend were having issues and he wanted officers to remove her residence because she was “banging everything up downstairs” and screaming. Both had been drinking.

Someone watching surveillance cameras reportedly saw a person trying to break into a black truck in the south end of a parking lot near a picnic table.

Money allegedly passed between two men after an exchange was made. The pair walked toward a house.
