Donald Arthur Erickson, 90

Donald Arthur Erickson passed away on Nov. 20, 2020, and is now sitting at the feet of Jesus, his Lord and Savior.

He was born on June 9, 1930, to Hugo Erickson and Lillian Nasmark. He lived on Vashon Island until he moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, in 1981. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served during the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Washington, majoring in engineering. He was a construction inspector on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and worked every mile of the 800 miles from Valdez to Prudhoe Bay. He later worked as a construction observer/inspector on various Alaska North Slope Village fuel system upgrades.

In 1996, he met Diane Barr in Barrow, Alaska, and they were married in 2001. They lived in Kalispell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Frank, and sister Marion.

Donald is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Hans (Arden) and Jennifer (Des) Policani; his sister, Arleen Lundin; and his stepchildren, Scott, Tyrone and Trevor Barr.

He was a wonderful man and will be missed greatly.
