Law roundup: Food truck owner shafted by partner

A food truck owner told the Columbia Falls Police Department her business partner allegedly stole $6,000 from their till and the key to the woman’s house.

Another Columbia Falls woman said the gas door on her vehicle was taken and her tires were “sliced.”

Teenagers using fireworks started a fire in Columbia Falls near some railroad tracks. An officer talked to them about the possible consequences if the fire had gotten out of hand.

A pre-teen apparently struck each of her parents before her mother called the police. “I don’t want any hitting,” she told the police.

A diligent citizen took a video of someone speeding and he wanted an officer to come pick up the footage.

Someone complained about a dog in a car on Ninth Street. An officer determined the dog was OK because the windows were open, the dog showed no signs of distress, and when he put his arm inside the window, he observed “it’s not hot.”

A man was advised not to park at a location on First Avenue in Columbia Falls.

A man allegedly took car keys from a woman who lives in the Martin City/Coram area. She said she didn’t know the man’s address, but she wanted to figure out how to get her keys back.

A Columbia Falls resident thought a live band was practicing all day long. It turned out someone nearby was playing recorded music.
