| July 5, 2021 12:00 AM

Norman Wayne Shaw, 65, passed away from natural causes Tuesday, June 22, 2021.

It is with heavy hearts his family announces his passing.

Norman Wayne was born May 15, 1956, in Seattle, Washington. He was the son of Norman W. and Vivian (Hill) Shaw. Norman spent some of his childhood in Oregon and then in Montana. He graduated from Polson High School in 1974 and proudly joined the United States Navy upon graduation. He completed basic training in San Diego and was then stationed at Davis–Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. He was assigned to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposition Center. He was awarded Airman of the Month in February 1976. Norman was honorably discharged in 1978.

Norman's greatest accomplishments came in 1979 when his son Gareth Wayne Shaw was born and then in 1982 his daughter Alysia Kay (Shaw) Enseleit was born. His kids were his reason for his hard work at Plum Creek Timber Co. (Weyerhaeuser) for 38 years. Norman was well known for his love of his kids and grandkids, his hard work ethic, practical jokes, and stubbornness, his need to always be "right"(don't argue with him because you wouldn't win), his deep love for the Miami Dolphins, movies, music, playing pool, and the family tradition of huckleberry picking. He was extremely proud of his five grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Faye Shaw.

Norman is survived by his children: Gareth Shaw and Alysia (Thomas) Enseleit; grandchildren: Indica and Evander Shaw; Carter, Caiden, and Cailee Enseleit. He is also survived by his beloved father Norman Shaw, sister Wanda (John) Wheeler, brother Dale Shaw, sister Valerie (Don) Bell, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved dearly.

Please keep his immediate and extended family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

There will be a memorial to celebrate Norman's life at a later date.
