Law roundup: Man conveniently misbehaves outside jail

A disorderly individual seemed to be in the right place at the right time when he was reported to the Kalispell Police Department for causing some disruptions outside the Flathead County Detention Center. He reportedly walked through traffic, yelled at people, took a drink from a red cup and “dumped needles and possible drugs on the front yard of a business.”

The owner of a lost dog gave onlookers some insight into why the dog went missing. The man was seen driving around with a fishing net, “screaming at the dog.”

An apartment dweller’s window screen was ripped, indicating to the tenant that someone tried to break in the night before. However, nothing else seemed to be amiss.

A baby playing with a hotel phone accidentally called 911.

A muffler was stolen from a motorhome. A backpack that might have belonged to the thief was discovered with saw blades and receipts in it.

A woman repeatedly dialed 911 while attempting to call a 1-800 number. She eventually said she would give up trying to call the 1-800 number.

Ducklings got stuck in a Kalispell storm drain and a city sewer department employee couldn’t get them out.

A boy of about 10 or 11 threw a broom during a domestic altercation. His family was counseled and he went to see his therapist.

Some failed thieves were caught on video attempting to steal a tailgate. They weren’t able to remove the tailgate, but they left a dent in the vehicle in the process.

A patient left a medical facility with an IV still in their body. They later checked in at another medical facility.
