Democrats host Blue Jam on the Bluff concert

The Flathead Democrats will host a "Blue Jam on the Bluff" event featuring food and live music Aug. 22 on a bluff overlooking the Flathead River near Columbia Falls.

Blue Jam on the Bluff is an all-ages event featuring a variety of local musicians, including On the Balcony, the Uke-n-Doers, Bob Mislivec, the Woodstock Trio and headliner Brent Jameson.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. with live music from 5 to 10 p.m.

Tickets cost $25 apiece and come with a hamburger or a hot dog, plus corn on the cob or chips. A vegetarian option also will be available. Children 8 and under get in for free.

A cash bar will be hosted by Stumptown Spirits. The event will happen rain or shine; attendees should bring a chair or blanket. No smoking or dogs are allowed.
