Montana GOP names new executive director
Danielle Tribble, a former staffer for U.S. Sen. Steve Daines, has been named executive director of the Montana Republican Party.
Spenser Merwin, also a former Daines staffer, is stepping down after a year and eight months in the position, the party announced Friday.
Tribble is from Missoula and holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Montana. She was regional director of Daines' Missoula office and worked on his 2020 re-election campaign. In a statement, she said she looks forward to campaign season as Montana is picking up a second U.S. House seat.
"We had tremendous success in 2020 and I know Danielle will continue to build on that momentum as we move closer to the midterm elections," the party's chairman, Whitefish businessman Don "K" Kaltschmidt, said in a statement.
