Festival of the Arts is this weekend in Polson

The Flathead Lake Festival of the Arts is scheduled for July 24 and 25 in Polson at Sacajawea Park on Kootenai Avenue on the shore of Flathead Lake.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The Flathead Lake Festival of Arts is a two-day, juried event, sponsored by the Sandpiper Art Gallery, a nonprofit organization. The show, featuring fine art and crafts, attracts high quality artists from throughout Montana and the Northwest.

Enjoy live music during Heritage Days

Live music is part of the Columbia Falls Heritage Days festivities this week:

• The Lions Club is sponsoring a concert from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the bandshell at Marantette Park.

​​• The Columbia Falls Rotary Club is also sponsoring two concerts Friday at Marantette Park. Enjoy live music by Eric Alan from 1 to 3 p.m. and then Pink Cadillac from 5 to 8 p.m. A beer truck will be on site.

Raise a toast at the Montana Wine Festival

Sample the wines of Montana at the Montana Wine Festival from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at The Coop next to O’Brien’s Liquor & Wine, 830 First Ave. W., in Columbia Falls.

A $15 entry fee includes five tastes provided by 10 Montana wineries and a commemorative glass for the first 500 participants.

There will be live music by Archertown from 6 to 8 p.m. Food trucks will be on site.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at area wineries, or at the door; cash only.
