Law roundup: Man swears at dispatchers on b-day

A “very irate” man reportedly swore at dispatchers while complaining about being harassed on Flathead Lake. He was given information regarding restraining orders and, “more importantly” was counseled on his behavior. He decided to come clean about his behavior and allegedly apologized, saying, “Sorry dude. It’s my 21st birthday and I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little hammered.”

Someone calling from Crestview Drive in Bigfork allegedly noticed a shady-looking motorhome parked for three days on a “hidden driveway” and didn’t get a response when they knocked on the doors to see if anyone needed assistance. The caller was also concerned about children being in the area. Deputies spoke with the RV owner and she claimed she was helping her mom. She was told to move along.

A man reportedly called Flathead County Sheriff’s Office alleging a member of the Flathead community tried to blackmail him, telling him if he paid a certain amount of money they wouldn’t “share his background.”

A Martha Road resident in Columbia Falls claimed the occupants of a black truck repeatedly drove slowly around her house, stopped and got out where they approached her vehicle and her children’s bedroom window,
