Law roundup: Cattle dog opts to herd officer
Restless cattle decided to make a run for it and were seen breaking out of a fence. The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office left a message for the brand inspector and attempted to call the owner. A deputy attempted to move the cattle back into their field and while there was a cattle dog at the residence, the officer noted it only assisted in finding a dead deer and tried to herd the deputy back to the patrol vehicle. The cows eventually made it back to the field behind a fence mended with some cheap dog leashes.
Every Sunday a band purportedly plays grunge music on Silver Leaf Drive in Kalispell, which doesn’t stir up any fond memories of the ’90s for a man who complained to deputies about the noise. He was advised there wasn’t a noise ordinance in the county, but he still wanted someone to tell them to keep it down. Eventually, the band stopped playing for the night.
