Carolyn 'Carrie' Misener-Roselli, 102

| June 20, 2021 12:00 AM

We lost this beautiful person on April 28, 2021, at the ripe young age of 102.

Carrie was born April 8, 1919, to Theodore and Martha Gigrich in Havre. She welcomed three siblings Lucille “Sue,” Virginia “Gin” and Theodore “Ted” to the fold. After growing up on a farm, Carrie graduated high school and headed to nurse’s training. After two years, due to unforeseen circumstances, she left nursing and became a live in Nanny. During this time she met the love of her life Edward “Eddie” Misener. They married in 1940, and had a near perfect marriage until Eddie’s death in 1974. They were blessed with three children, Shirley, Linda and Jim. Many adventures were had during their 34 years together: Shipbuilder’s wife in San Francisco, owner of Ed and Vern’s bar in Bigfork, Montana, owner of Kings Drive-in Theater in Hanford, California, and ranch owner of Misener Ranch in Delhi, California. Retirement came and they moved to Modesto, California.

After Eddie’s death Carrie moved to Turlock, California, and began a new adventure, as the meals program manager at Senior Opportunity Service Program. She made many friends while working there, which was a given, as anyone who met Carrie fell immediately in love. One person who fell head over heels was Philip “Phil” Roselli. After a 13 year chase by Phil, they were married and ended up moving to Montana where most of her children were living. After a few years, many of Carrie’s immediate family ended up living in the same town. Friday nights were special get-togethers for family. There was no place more fun than a night at Carries! This continued after Phil’s death, and after she moved to Wel-Life assisted living community. She enjoyed her friends and the staff at Wel-Life, winning bingo more times than her friends liked, listening to live music, going to church, playing UpWords, doing her word puzzles and helping anyone who needed it.

Carrie was predeceased by husbands Eddie Misener and Phil Roselli, daughter Shirley, brother Ted, sister Gin, grandsons Donnie and Ron and great granddaughter Amy.

Carrie is survived by her sister Lucille, daughter Linda, son Jim (Diane), granddaughters Vicki (Dan), Della (Tak), Susie (Pat), Karen and Lisa (Damon), grandsons Randy and Eddie, 16 great grandchildren, 20 great--great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations would be appreciated to any veterans program, or charity of your choice.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. June 26 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home, 1890 U.S. 93, Kalispell.

Carrie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her!
