Thomas Francis Kehoe Jr., 80

Thomas Francis Kehoe Jr. passed away March 10, 2020, at his home in Henderson, Nevada, at age 80.

Born in Oak Park, Illinois, Aug. 16, 1939, Tom grew up in West Chicago, Illinois, where he graduated from West Chicago High School in 1957 after serving as class president.

He graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, before embarking on different career endeavors such as coaching football and teaching at St. Francis High School in Wheaton, Illinois, serving in the United States Navy and establishing a successful business in Texas selling electrical supplies to transformer, electric motor and oil and gas companies.

Tom was known for his generosity, quick wit and smile. He made numerous friends in many locations including Horseshoe Bay, Texas, Columbia Falls, Montana, Dominical, Costa Rica, and Las Vegas where he had homes. His greatest passions in life were Notre Dame athletics, fishing and golf.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Florence (Breen) Kehoe, his sister Marianne, and his brother Patrick.

He is survived by his wife, Margie, sons Tom and Andy, daughter Kathleen Martindale (Danny) and her daughters Mary, Grace and Molly, his sister Betty Maurer (Charles) and brother Jim (Marianne).

Due to restrictions from the pandemic a memorial was delayed until family and friends could gather to honor his memory. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. June 26 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Chicago.
