Margie Puckett, 84, ran into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at her she-shed in Kalispell, with her daughter Becky, son-in-law Keith and ever faithful cat Saco by her side.

Born Feb. 27, 1937, on a farm near Harrisburg, South Dakota, to Lorenz and Laura Messner, Margie was the youngest of six children. Margie attended a one-room schoolhouse until seventh grade. She attended school in Harrisburg for seventh through ninth grade. To get a better education, Margie moved from the family home to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at the age of 16. She loved old time dancing and it was at a dance she met the love of her life Allan Puckett. They married in 1956. Allan and Margie lived in Sioux Falls where she worked at a bank. They relocated to Seattle, then Whidbey Island, Washington, where she worked at her favorite job as a personnel assistant for Boeing. After relocating back to the South Dakota area, they lived in Canistota and Margie worked for the Farmers Home Administration in Salem where she received top accolades for superior work.

In 1979 the family relocated to Libby, Montana, where Margie worked at First National Bank until her retirement in 1998.

Allan and Margie had four children, Michael Allan, Brenda Sue, Karee Lynn and Becky Faye. Allan passed away Nov. 6, 1994. Margie subsequently married Marshall Corbett in 2002. They relocated to Kalispell where he passed away Jan. 4, 2020.

Margie was preceded in death by her two husbands, son-in-law David Hacke, granddaughter Nikki Karim and three of her siblings, Donna, Betty and Shirley.

Margie is survived by her sister Lavonn Anderson, brother Bob Messner, children Michael (Tina) Puckett, Brenda Herbst, Karee (Frank) Sweedman and Becky (Keith) Cassel; 14 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and her beloved cat Saco.
