Local man jailed for allegedly assaulting girlfriend

* Update: Haley pleaded guilty on Sept. 30, 2021 to a charge of felony tampering with witness/informant and to a reduced charge of misdemeanor partner family member assault. He was sentenced to the Montana State Prison on Nov. 24, 2021.
Authorities say a Flathead Valley man hog-tied his girlfriend, smothered her with a pillow and threatened her to not report the incident.
