Michael G. Schilling, 70

Michael G. Schilling, 70, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021, in Kalispell.

He was born March 8, 1951, in Havre to George and Elizabeth (Betty) McCormick. After the untimely death of his father, he was later adopted by Jacob Schilling.

He was raised in Columbia Falls, graduating from high school in 1969. He graduated from Glendive Community College with a two-year degree in criminal justice. He spent a few years working at the Aluminum Plant in Columbia Falls, then went to work at Flathead County as a custodian for 30 years.

Mike could always be seen walking all over the county on foot or on his bike. His love of walking every day was important to him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father George McCormick, and mother Betty Schilling, father Jacob Schilling, sister Sandi Schilling, and brother Randy Schilling.

He is survived by his sister, MaryBeth (Will) Arnold, his nieces Brooke (Mike) Brennan, and Maggie (Ean) McClure, and great-niece Eirelyn McClure.

Funeral services will be held at the VFW Club in Whitefish on Thursday, May 27, at 11:30 a.m.
