Law roundup: Barefoot man makes rounds on bathroom floors around town

A barefoot man was found lying on the floor of a woman’s restroom and someone wanted Kalispell Police Department to check on him thinking he might be intoxicated. The man then went outside the store and started yelling and laid down again. He was moved along. A later call came in about the yelling barefoot man on another side of town from someone alleging he was screaming to no one in particular.

A third call came in about the barefoot man who was still walking around and this time was screaming for help. Officers reportedly conducted an earlier mental health check and determined further police interaction wasn’t warranted for a person who was just roaming around talking to himself.

A hysteric, crying man reportedly told police he pulled a knife on a man who hit him and then left in a black BMW with a broken headlight.

A man reportedly ran over a female’s skateboard and she wanted him to pay for it, but he refused, so she wanted law enforcement to come to the park and “sort things out.” She was counseled.

A small child was allegedly seen in a bus standing on the seats and hanging out the window and a passerby wanted the bus stopped and the driver “cited.”

A woman complained her neighbor doesn’t like her cat coming into his yard.

A man reportedly got into a dispute with his girlfriend so she took a screwdriver to the paint job on his vehicle.

A man was seen handing another man a package in a vehicle at a drive-thru and then white smoke came out of the window that smelled like chemicals.

A transient wearing black pants hanging past his butt, exposing his gray boxers, reportedly tried to break into an occupied room and was seen on surveillance cameras trying to get into other rooms at a location.

A man was found on the floor of a men’s bathroom in a grocery store and was yelling at customers. When an employee went to check on him he seemed intoxicated.

A woman purportedly saw two teens steal a pogo stick from a neighbor’s yard. Officers made contact with one of the boys and the pogo stick was returned.

Someone on U.S. 2 in Kalispell allegedly saw a very agitated man waving a crescent wrench near a business. The person told Flathead County Sheriff’s Office the man was walking “all over the place,” and was wearing a jacket with a dangling sleeve and “really dirty” jeans.

A man on Karrow Avenue in Whitefish reportedly returned home to discover his mail had been stolen and credit cards had been activated.

A woman said she was going to be staying in the state and wanted to know what the carry age limit was.

A woman calling from Hungry Horse Boulevard complained someone locked her out of a location and would not let her get her belongings. She also said she had “all kinds of things,” she wanted to report to deputies and waiting at a bar and trying to get a ride to Kalispell.

A business owner on U.S. 2 in Kalispell believed someone ran into his building with a vehicle because there were tire tracks leading straight to a deck.

An Olney resident calling from U.S. 93 wanted to lodge a complaint against a delivery driver who reportedly took down a chain across their driveway, which was had been posted as “no trespassing,” and drove past a gate where they were instructed to leave items. The resident said he has kids in the area and didn’t want traffic. He was advised to follow up with the delivery company to resolve the issue.
