Codi-Anne Hamilton, 21

| May 30, 2021 12:00 AM

Codi-Anne Hamilton entered the world and her parents’ loving embrace on Sept. 21, 1999, in Corvallis, Oregon. In the early morning hours of Saturday, May 22, 2021, she unexpectedly passed away with her mother, and partner by her side.

Growing up as a Navy “brat,” one of her favorite activities as a child was to patiently sit and watch for her dad’s ship to return home. Like her father, she was always ready to embark on an adventure, especially if it meant a trip to the water. Singing at the lake was a must for Codi; blessed with the gift of song, her melodic voice would ever so delicately drift over the water. “Just one more,” we would beg, and with a smile and an eye roll, she would sing another.

She had a rich imagination and a magical ability to spin words into fantastic stories. While shy to share her stories, those lucky enough to read them were transported into unique worlds designed by the most descriptive words. Her ephemeral light blazed bright, fueled with determination, tenacity, compassion and love. She had a charming and engaging spirit, a smile that would light up a room, and legendary hugs.

Codi is survived by her parents, Richard and Roni Hamilton; beloved brothers Richie Hamilton and Andrei Hamilton; her life-long partner, Clarissa Orndorff; and many loving, extended family and friends.

Austin Funeral & Cremation Services in Whitefish is caring for the family. Memories and condolences may be sent to the family at https://www.austinfh.com/tributes.

Gone, but never to be forgotten, her beauty, wit and indomitable spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
