Sherry Lynne Adler

Sherry Lynne Adler passed away on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at Rising Mountains Assisted Living in Bigfork.

Sherry was born to parents Henry and Belle Adler, of Chicago, on Nov. 10, 1935. She grew up in a close-knit family which included her grandparents, Joseph and Sarah Weinig and her aunts and uncles, Albert and Myrtle Davis and Arthur and Rhoda Pastor. Sherry loved to reminisce about her happy childhood, baking bread with her grandmother and getting into mischief with her cousins Margie, Jimmy and Anita. She loved the "victory garden" planted by her grandfather and playing hide and seek in the attic of the house on Drake Avenue in Chicago.

Sherry moved with her parents to California after graduating high school and attended UCLA in Los Angeles. She married Daniel Newman on Dec. 20, 1956. They had one child, a daughter named Alisa, on April 28, 1959.

Sherry moved to Montana recently in 2020 to be with her family. She will be missed by all of her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
