John Paul 'Jack' Feeken, 88

John Paul “Jack” Feeken, 88, passed away on Oct. 13, 2021, at his home in Whitefish, with his son and daughter by his side.

Jack was born on Oct. 10, 1934, in Willmar, Minnesota, to John and Lena (Aljets) Feeken. He had four brothers and two sisters. Joining the Navy on Nov. 5, 1952, he served until Oct. 31, 1956. Subsequently, he served in the Reserves from Oct. 31, 1956, to Nov. 4, 1960. Jack was married to Jeanette “Nettie” Baker on Jan. 12, 1957. They were married for 62 years before Nettie passed away on May 28, 2019.

Jack and Nettie lived in Blaine, Minnesota, where Jack was a foreman for a structural steel fabrication company. After moving to Carlos, Minnesota, in 1972, he became a primary owner of Continental Bridge. In 1987, upon Jack’s retirement at age 52, they moved to Whitefish. Jack enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and cribbage. As a proficient trap shooter, he won many awards. Jack and Nettie enjoyed traveling in their RV throughout the United States visiting their family and friends.

Jack is survived by two children, Lori Meyer and Ken (Lori) Feeken, siblings Herb Feeken of Minnesota, and Robert (Sue) Feeken of Arizona, seven grandchildren, and many beautiful great-grandchildren.

Jack was predeceased by his wife, Nettie Feeken, May 28, 2019, his son, Larry Feeken, Sept. 11, 2020, and his daughter, Connie “Buffy” Feeken, June 14, 2006.

Family members laid Jack to rest in Whitefish next to his wife, Nettie.
