Jean Carolyn Giffin, 78

| November 14, 2021 12:00 AM

Jean Carolyn Giffin, who was born on April 1, 1943, in Romeo, Michigan, went to be with her Savior Lord Jesus on Oct. 10, 2021, in Kalispell. She lived a vibrant and full life.

Jean Giffin was a loving sister, caring mother, and a phenomenal grandma. Grandma Jean gifted each and every grandchild with time, adoration and unconditional love. She had a sharp wit and an infectious laugh, her sense of humor living on in her five loving and hilarious children, who couldn’t help but inherit a love for the comedy of everyday life.

Jean Giffin saw the world as a place of wonder and adventure, living in Africa for two years and dreamed of visiting all seven continents in her lifetime. She was a woman of unwavering faith and a member of the Easthaven Baptist Church, and

A baker who could always be found in the kitchen with a pot of tea and a grandkid waiting to learn about the magic of homemade bread.

She will be missed deeply and is survived by four of her six siblings and their spouses, Richard, Mary (Al Ross), Patricia (John Meyers), and Jim; her five children and their spouses, Lora (Bill Askea), Matt (Jenn), Josh (Amy), Caleb (Kim), and Paul (Holly Gardner); and her 13 grandchildren, Will, Emma, Walt, Trent, Ariah, Kait, Clara, Addy, Maggie, Audrey, Strauss, Annaline and Huxley.

May her memory linger for lifetimes, living on in freshly picked cosmos and in rooms where families share laughter and stories.

A memorial service will be held on Jan. 22, 2022, at the First Presbyterian Church in Colusa, California.
