The Kalispell City Council on Monday unanimously gave final plat approval for a 324-unit apartment complex planned on Two Mile Drive.

Sands Surveying, on behalf of Brytech Crossings 1, LLC, requested final plat approval for a project known as Begg Subdivision Phase 1. The resolution created a 6.31-acre final plat as part of a multi-family development at 401 Two Mile Drive.

It’s the first phase of a four-lot subdivision with a total of 324 apartment units. The project received a conditional-use permit in March 2018.

The developer plans to complete the project in three phases. At this time, the first phase is nearly complete, and the developer is preparing to begin phase two.

Also during the meeting, Mayor Mark Johnson appointed Brian Plunkett to the Impact Fee Advisory Committee.

At the end of the meeting, council member Tim Kluesner suggested the mayor organize a town hall forum with Montana’s national representatives.

“I think it would be really beneficial to everybody in the whole valley,” Kluesner said.

Boy Scouts from Troop 1901 attended the meeting to earn their citizenship in the community merit badges.
