Gingerbread contest planned as fundraiser in Whitefish

| November 17, 2021 12:00 AM

In anticipation of this year’s Whitefish Christmas Stroll, Century 21 Deaton and Company Real Estate, together with the Whitefish Chamber of Commerce, will be co-hosting the Great Whitefish Gingerbread Contest, a fundraiser for Whitefish affordable housing.

From now until Nov. 30 the public and area businesses are invited to enter gingerbread houses for public voting. During the week leading up to the Christmas Stroll entries will be displayed in area businesses where voting will be open until Dec. 10.

Contestants may enter in one of two divisions: Business or Family/Individual. Business entries are $35 and Family/Individual entries are $20. Century 21 Deaton and Company Real Estate will match all entry fees dollar-for-dollar, and will donate all money raised to the Whitefish Housing Authority.

Winners will be announced Dec. 10 during the Christmas Stroll on Central Avenue in downtown Whitefish.

The final display of entries will be in the Chamber of Commerce/Century 21 tent the evening of the Stroll, and kids 12 and under are invited to decorate a gingerbread man to take home.
