Beloved ‘Nutcracker’ ballet returns to Bigfork
Northwest Ballet Company brings back its holiday classic performance of “The Nutcracker Suite” this Thanksgiving.
The company had to take a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, and it is excited to be back for its 33rd year of live performance. Six performances of Tchaikovsky's 1982 composition "Nutcracker Suite" will take place at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts over Thanksgiving weekend, Friday, Nov. 26, and Saturday, Nov. 27.
For the opening of the production this year, Northwest Ballet Company owner and Director Marisa Roth will tell the beloved tale to the audiences of the Flathead Valley.
"And, it won't disappoint," Roth said. "There's something in there for everyone!"
Reserved tickets for the shows are available by contacting the Northwest Ballet School at info@northwestballet.com or 406-755-0760. On show days, tickets will be available at the Bigfork Center's box office, 526 Electric Ave., Bigfork, one hour before the performances start. Tickets are $20 for adults, and $10 for children 12 and under.
Shows are at 12:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m both Friday, Nov. 26, and Saturday, Nov. 27. The popular Sugar Plum Fairy Parade will follow the 12:30 p.m. matinees on Friday and Saturday.
CDC guidelines will be followed, so wear a mask and maintain social distancing while in the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts.
