Kids at Depot Park were peppering passing cars with snowballs, according to Kalispell Police Department logs. One driver stopped to talk to the kids, but was given a lot of lip in return. Officers came by and ran them off.

A group of kids was later seen lobbing snowballs at passing vehicles at another location downtown. The unruly mob yelled obscenities at one driver who stopped to confront the kids.

Someone started their Ford Escape to warm it up. When the person came back outside, they saw that the vehicle had escaped. It had a full tank of gas and was nowhere to be found.

A caller said two or three people were living in a car parked at the old mall. They weren’t threatening or causing problems.

A woman said that she and her son were panhandling. She wasn’t harassed all day, but complained that as soon as her son took over they were asked to move along.

A man left his gun inside a stranger’s vehicle after hitching a ride.

A caller said someone attempted to break into his house. He had it on video.

Two vehicles were racing and doing burnouts on Main Street.

A woman left without paying for a meal at a local restaurant.

A woman in flip-flops took off from a store with a bag half-full of merchandise.

Someone threw a water bottle at a bicyclist riding by the mall.

At least eight people were involved in a parking lot brawl. Half of them left in a Hyundai, while the others lingered around.

A man with his pants around his ankles was reportedly playing chicken with passing vehicles.
