KALICO Art Center hosts inaugural gala

KALICO Art Center invites the public to its inaugural art experience fundraiser, KALICO GALA: On the Threshold, to support the local arts community from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at MontaVino Winery in Downtown Kalispell.

This unique, one-time event will include:

• A Montana Trolley Ride to the historical site of Kalispell Malting and Brewing Co., where guests will experience the art installation Limnal Lacrimosa by Mary Mattingly, as well as KALICO-curated exhibitions by supporting artists

• Dinner and dessert by Chef Beth Dix of Delectable Catering and Desserts

• Wine and champagne pairings curated by MontaVino Winery

• Raise the Paddle Fundraiser

• Presentation of a video about KALICO’s work in the community, its origin story at the start of the pandemic, and its goals for future growth and

community involvement

Attendees can expect an evening of artistic collaboration by local artists including Mattingly, Caitlin Christoper, Annette Strean-Cornelius and Kelly Garber, curated by Jenny Bevill.

Established in 2019, KALICO offers community-centered arts programming and educational classes with a mission to provide a contemporary community space for all ages and abilities to create, connect and experience art.
